About
The Clinical Research Center (NPC) of the Arthur Sá Earp Neto University Center (UNIFASE) and the Petrópolis Medical School (FMP) was established in 2021. It is a research space dedicated to the development and execution of clinical trials.
The NPC is integrated with the School Outpatient Clinic and the Alcides Carneiro Teaching Hospital (HAC), which is accredited by the Ministries of Health and Education and is one of the main references for healthcare in Petrópolis and the surrounding region.
The NPC connects research and innovation with education and healthcare, functioning simultaneously as a clinical research center and an academic unit.
Its infrastructure includes dedicated research facilities, a teaching hospital and outpatient clinic, as well as dedicated support offices, enabling the conduct of clinical studies in an environment that reflects both academic rigor and social responsibility.

Coordinator of the NPC and Head of the Research Department
Master in Pharmacology and Doctor of Science from UFRJ. Adjunct Professor and Researcher at the Chronic Pain Treatment Center of UNIFASE/FMP.
Juliana Manso, DMD
QC and Head of Administration, Recruitment, and Retention at the NPC
Postgraduate specializations in Orthodontics, Family Health, and Orofacial Pain and Temporomandibular Disorders.
Andre Kinder, MD, PhD
Head of the Imaging Area at the NPC
PhD in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging – UFRJ. Adjunct Professor at UNIFASE/FMP. Radiologist at Alcides Carneiro Teaching Hospital (HAC). Technical Director of the Imaging Center at UNIFASE/FMP. Outpatient Teaching Clinic (AMBE).

Internal Quality Control (QC):
We have a dedicated in-house professional responsible for maintaining high standards and ensuring the integrity of daily procedures, always in compliance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP).
Independent Quality Assurance (QA):
In addition, we have an independent, third-party team, BZ Health Partners (BZHP), which acts as our Quality Assurance unit. BZHP conducts annual audits and continuously monitors the NPC's activities, ensuring ongoing adherence to Good Clinical Practices and the credibility of our results.
